This year’s application format and process have been upgraded with user friendly features that makes completing the application easier.

  NEW: ‘Save & Continue’.

Applicants now have the ability to enter information, save it and, if necessary, return at a later date to modify (correct and/or add) information prior to submitting the final application.

Note: All required fields must be completed, and the $35 family application fee must be paid; incomplete applications will not be processed.

NEW: ‘Documentation Upload after Application Submission".

For applications submitted without all of the required financial documentation and/or proof of Guardianship (if required), applicants now have the ability and responsibility to upload and attach missing financial documents directly to their submitted application.  Financial Documents should not be emailed to SFIC.

  • Complete the application on a computer, not a smartphone.

After You Apply:

  • You will receive emails regarding your application submission status.

How to Apply

Returning Families

Families who are currently receiving scholarships or applied in the previous year will receive an email with a special link to re-apply.

  • Use the unique application link sent to you by SFIC.
  • Do not apply through the “New Applicant” link. This creates duplicate records and delays processing.
  • Re-apply each year and upload your most current financial documentation.

New Applicants

Families applying for the first time must create an account by using the New Applicant link:

  • Visit the Student Application page on sficnj.org and select “New Family.”
  • Create a secure login and save your password; you’ll use this account each year to re-apply.
  • Complete all sections of the online application and upload the required documents.
