About the Program
The Pine Mountain Settlement School program is a new venture that we are extremely excited about and proud to present as an experience to students. This program offers a comprehensive curriculum in environmental and geological education using hands-on experiences. Students chosen will be immersed in studying anatomy, life history and ecological roles of local reptiles, amphibians, mammals and geology of this historic area. Courses will include study of soil science, hydrology, medicinal plants, and stream study. They will also participate in a wonderful night hike.
