A Lasting Impression
Articulate and vivacious, Widney Saintil, former SFIC scholarship recipient and guest student speaker at the recent SFIC Annual Dinner on May 19, 2015, made a very strong impression on Gibbons P.C. Executive Director, and SFIC Annual Dinner Honoree, June Inderwies. If fact that impression landed her an offer for a full time summer internship at the firm.
This go getter is now working as a research summer intern in Knowledge Management at the Gibbons P.C. firm. “The co-workers are very friendly and the attorneys are easy to talk with. I research articles, dockets and complaints. Interacting with the attorneys is extremely interesting.” When asked what she finds most challenging Widney said, “remembering all the passwords to access the computer is a little crazy and tracking down certain companies in my research can be difficult.” Subsequently, working at Gibbons P.C. has inspired Widney to pursue her undergraduate degree in either criminal justice, business or forensic sciences.
When asked what she did with her first pay check she replied, “well, this is my very first job so I actually saved my very first pay check. Since then, though, I bought a new phone, pampered myself a little, bought clothes for college and gave back money to my parents.” She will bid fairwell to her internship at Gibbons on August 21st.
Widney is a graduate from Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair, class of 2015 and will be attending Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire at the end of August.
